Suction Power and Performance
According to the manufacturer, this model offers a powerful suction capacity of 1500 m3/hr. It utilizes a BLDC motor and operates with a noise level rated at 48 dB. The unit provides nine distinct speed settings, allowing users to adjust airflow according to their cooking requirements. The inclusion of two integrated LED lamps provides visibility over the cooking area, which is a practical addition for daily meal preparation.
Filtration and Maintenance
This chimney utilizes a filterless design, which simplifies the maintenance process. It is equipped with an auto-cleaning feature coupled with an oil collection tray. This combination is intended to facilitate an easier cleaning routine for the user by collecting oil residues that would otherwise settle inside the internal components. This configuration aims to reduce the frequency of manual interventions.

Controls and Usability
The appliance features a dual control system consisting of touch controls and a motion sensor. This allows the user to operate the chimney through either direct contact or simple hand gestures. The 9-speed control interface provides precise adjustment for varying smoke densities during heavy-duty cooking sessions, ensuring effective ventilation is achieved efficiently at the required power level.
Installation Flexibility
The Elica chimney supports flexible installation options to suit different kitchen layouts. It can be installed as a ducted unit, which is recommended for maximum efficiency. Alternatively, if ducting is not possible in the designated space, it supports ductless operation using a charcoal filter, although it is important to note that the charcoal filter must be purchased separately.

Warranty and Reliability
Elica provides significant backing for this product, featuring a 15-year warranty on the motor and a 5-year comprehensive warranty. This coverage offers a level of assurance regarding the longevity of the critical internal components. It is recommended that buyers retain the included warranty card and user manual, which are provided in the box alongside the unit, for future service reference.
Potential Drawbacks
While the suction power and BLDC motor performance are strong, users should be aware of specific limitations. The requirement to purchase a charcoal filter separately for ductless installations may add to the initial setup cost. Additionally, as a 90cm unit, it requires a significant amount of wall space, which may not be suitable for smaller kitchen configurations or limited wall areas.
