Performance and Suction Power
Engineered with a high-performance BLDC motor, this model offers a powerful suction capacity of 1500 m3/hr. According to Elica, the chimney features nine distinct speed settings, allowing users to adjust airflow based on their cooking needs. Furthermore, it operates at a reported noise level of 48 decibels, balancing industrial-strength suction with a relatively quiet user experience.
Innovative Filterless Technology
This appliance utilizes filterless technology, which eliminates the need for manual filter cleaning. To manage maintenance, it includes an integrated auto-cleaning feature coupled with an oil collection tray. This design simplifies the cleanup process by allowing oil to be collected efficiently, significantly reducing the maintenance frequency compared to traditional filter-based systems.

Controls and Usability
User interaction is handled via touch controls complemented by a motion sensor, providing a modern, hands-free way to manage settings. The chimney also features two built-in LED lamps to illuminate the cooking area, improving visibility. With 220 Volts power requirement and 90 Watts of wattage, the system is designed for standard residential electrical configurations.
Installation Flexibility
The Elica chimney provides flexible installation options for various kitchen environments. It comes ready for a ducted setup, which provides maximum extraction efficiency. If ducting is not feasible in a user's specific kitchen, the unit can be converted to a ductless configuration by installing an optional charcoal filter, which must be purchased separately.

Warranty and Reliability
Elica provides a strong manufacturer guarantee for this unit, offering a 15-year warranty on the BLDC motor. Additionally, the company provides a 5-year comprehensive warranty that covers the glass, rotor, and PCB from the date of purchase. This extensive coverage demonstrates the manufacturer's commitment to long-term reliability and component support.
Considerations and Drawbacks
While the appliance offers advanced features, potential buyers should note that the charcoal filter required for ductless installation is not included in the box and must be sourced separately. Additionally, although the chimney is 60cm wide, users with larger, five-burner stovetops may find the coverage area insufficient for their heavy-duty cooking needs, as it is primarily intended for 2-4 burner setups.
